Pembrokeshire is a truly beautiful part of the world where you can do as much or as little as you want to.
No other county has more Blue Flag beaches than Pembrokeshire. With over 50 beaches and bays to choose from and some of the country's finest surfing, kayaking and sandcastle building it is impossible to tire of Pembrokeshire's stunning coast - it's so beautiful that Harry buried Dobby here! There's a brilliant beach guide on www.visitpembrokeshire.com.
More gentle is Clerkenhill Adventure Farm with Wales' first Frisbee Golf Course. Clerkenhill is a little under 10 miles along the A40 from our lodge at Heritage Park.
Coastal Island Cruises offer a one hour seal safari from nearby Tenby in search of the grey seals of Caldey Island. Breeding season is from September and the company offers a "Pup Guarantee"! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for details
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs for 186 miles passing 58 beautiful beaches and the towns of Tenby, St Davids, Solva and Newport. Heritage Park is perfectly placed less then a mile from the Coast Path and just two miles from the southern end of the trail at Amroth. Maps and guides to the path are available on Visit Pembrokeshire.
Don't be put off by the length of The Coast Path. The year round Coastal Bus Services are specially designed for walkers. Travel by bus a few miles down the coast and walk back at your own pace. For timetables, visit Pembrokeshire County Council.
The coast path and National Park also makes great cycling terrain. For brilliant information and links to cycle hire, visit Cycle Pembrokeshire.
Most beaches in Pembrokeshire have few restrictions for well behaved dogs - out of season we've even managed to have one or two beaches to ourselves for a whole day!
During the summer, some of the busier beaches restrict dogs to certain areas with only one or two banning dogs altogether. Dolly and Tom have found our Welsh holidays the most dog friendly: most pubs welcome dogs and lots of walks have poo bag dispensers and bins. Visit Pembrokeshire have an excellent section on dog friendly holidaying.
